Brisbane Military History: History Alive Re-Enactment THIS WEEKEND at Fort Lytton

The Queensland Living History Federation presents History Alive 2008 this weekend at Fort Lytton National Park. It's a weekend of military re-enactment, from Roman times right through to the Vietnam War.

The YouTube video above, by lapinblancdusd shows a History Alive re-enactment of the Battle of Emtsa in 1919, when Australian soldiers fought Bolshevik revolutionaries during the Western intervention that tried to crush the Russian Revolution.

If you'd like to see some photos from previous History Alive weekends, including Napoleonic dragoons (horse-mounted infantry), soldiers with matchlocks, knights and Roman legionaries, click here to see them at flickr.
