Hi, I am moving to Brisbane for 6 months on a contract as project manager working for Aged Care Queensland in Jindalee. Can you recommend a way for me to find cheap & cheerful short term accomdation near Jindalee (I will be relying on public transport). Thanks a lot, Sarah

Hi Sarah, sorry I don't have a lot of info for you but here are a couple of links.

"Cheap" doesn't really go with "accommodation" in Brisbane at the moment, unfortunately. Rents are pretty high right now as lots of people move in. However you may want to check out both rental accomodation and share housing at

Share accomodation:

and also the rental accomodation at

Those are the two big real estate sites for Australia. I'd also really recommend signing up for LiveJournal (if you're already not on it) so you can post your question in the Brisneyland community there. Brisneyland is a bunch of really helpful people who like to answer all sorts of questions. People there will likely have all sorts of answers that I wouldn't think of. Hope this helps.
